(01)Developers who live in SSH juggle a pile of tabs, a half-remembered ~/.ssh/config and a terminal that is either bare-bones or a heavy Electron app. AI tools make it worse: many want to run commands for you, which is the last thing you want on a production server.
ctermin is a fast native terminal for Windows. Your servers sit in a sidebar and connect with one click, tabs and split panes keep everything in one window, and the built-in AI only ever types a suggestion into the terminal and waits for you to press Enter.

(02)ctermin is written 100% in Rust with egui and runs natively on Windows through ConPTY. There is no Electron, no webview and no JavaScript runtime inside, so it starts fast and stays light.
Servers live in folders in the sidebar. Click a server to connect, or click a folder to open every server inside it as splits. Already have a ~/.ssh/config? Import it in one click. Passwords and API keys are stored in Windows Credential Manager, never in config files or logs.
The AI bar turns plain language into a command, or explains the output of the last command. The command is inserted into the terminal and nothing runs until you press Enter. Dangerous commands such as rm -rf or mkfs show a warning and ask for confirmation first. You can use a signed-in Claude Code installation or your own Claude API key.
